Recensione Deadwalk “Like Raging Wolves” (autoproduzione 2008)

Dopo “Full Energy Shock” del 2002 e “Super Boring Music” del 2005, i quattro Cremonesi ci riprovano con “Like Raging Wolves”, album autoprodotto con 12 tracce in 38 minuti. Old school metallico cantato in un Inglese non inappuntabile (anzi…), che non mi fa impazzire ma si lascia apprezzare per un sound compatto ed una certa verve cattiva ben espressa nel testo di “We should write shorter songs (and titles)”, dove i nostri cantano “We are not a punk band and we play what the fuck we want”. Ricordano molto i Woptime, ma non disdegnano Offspring e Turbonegro, ed ascoltando la opening track, “What a Shame”, non è possibile non pensare ai Negazione di Little Dreamer. Mi piace quando sperimantano l’alternarsi di voci come in “Self Destructive Anthem”, meno rabbiosa delle altre ma comunque interessante. Non mi dispiace neppure l’esperimento Rap Core di “Eat Me Right Now”, sullo stile Rage Against The Machine, anche se nella intro la voce non si sposa molto al genere, riprendendosi poi nelle parti cantate.
